Tiny Bugs’ Poo

This Absurd Place series book number three, Tiny Bugs’ Poo, is now available!

Some time has passed in This Place, allowing for several distinct cultures to develop, at least in terms of beliefs and spirits.  In one little corner of a birch forest are the Viking Warriors, and one of their captains, Hergar the Horrid, is not well.  He’s having something of an existential crisis, you see.

Following a discussion with a soothsayer, The Soothsayer, Hergar learns that he is fated for a glorious quest, which is precisely the kind of thing that a Viking Warrior in the midst of an existential crisis requires.  He is joined by Timor De’Porty of the Travelling Monks De’Ruin following a fallout between the young, rotund monk and his seniors over drinks.  Together, Hergar the Horrid and Timor De’Porty must travel the lands of This Place, meet helpful Personae, and learn some stuff.

Meanwhile, a stink is brewing between two settlements.  It seems likely that these two events may somehow intertwine, considering how coincidence is the most powerful force in the multiverse.

This and the other books are available exclusively on Kindle, and for cheap!

Exploration!

The second book in the This Absurd Place series, Exploration!, is now published.

Exploration! brings us back to This Place as an exploration party is sent from the Village into the great ‘out there’ to both find a new location to settle an overflowing Village and ascertain the fate of the two previous parties, who’ve vanished. Adventure, danger, and absurdity await the Personae of the exploration party as they explore the Old River in a multiverse where beavers wear hardhats, springs occasionally bubble alcohol, and dinosaurs and statues just don’t get along.Exploration

A Strange Journey through an Absurd Place

A happy notice that the first book in the This Absurd Place series, and in fact my first book to be published, is…err…published!

This introduction to the wonderful multiverse of This Place follows the horribly mundane Frank Benton after his is accidentally transferred to This Place following an attack in an alleyway by a man in a dirty pink rabbit costume.  Worse for Frank, he learns this fulfills a prophecy of sorts which tells of an accidental, unwilling arrival who will collect the Five Sacred Artifacts and save This Place from its evil villain, The Villain.

The book is available through Kindle Publishing, which is a fun way to say Amazon, for just a few measly dollars.  Go buy it!  Heck, buy three!
